Sleep Well Lady · Sleep & Wellness
How your data is stored and when the app sends a message to your household notifications list.
1. What the app tracks
- Sleep timing and a nightly "sleep score" based on motion and ambient sound patterns.
- Optional daily mood, hydration, mindful-minutes, and resting heart rate tiles.
- Short ambient audio clips (only saved when the app detects sounds above a threshold you set, and only kept on your device unless you choose to back them up).
2. Your data stays on your device
- All tracked data is stored locally on your phone by default.
- If you sign in to cloud sync, your data is stored in a private account that only you can access, protected by your password.
- Nothing is ever sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any purpose other than showing you your own wellness trends.
3. Household notifications list
You can add a small number of people (typically 1–3 household members or close friends) who can receive a text message from the app if you choose to send one.
- You manually enter each person's name and phone number.
- Before adding them, you send them a one-time introductory message from your own phone (not from our number) explaining that you'd like them to be reachable for wellness check-ins.
- They can decline at any time by asking you to remove them (which you can do in the app's settings), or by replying
STOPto any message from our number. - No one is added automatically and no list is shared or sold.
4. When messages are sent
The app sends a message from our Twilio number only in these cases:
- When you manually initiate one. You have to press and hold a button in the app for 2 full seconds to send. There is no automation.
- When you run a setup test to confirm the number works — this message is clearly marked
[TEST].
We do not send marketing, promotions, surveys, newsletters, scheduled reminders, or any automated recurring messages.
5. Message frequency
- Per recipient: typically less than 1 message per month.
- Per user: typically 0–1 messages per month.
6. How to opt out
Recipients can stop all messages from our number at any time by replying STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT. Reply HELP for assistance. Reply START to resume.
They can also ask the user who added them to remove them from the list in the app's settings.
7. Carrier and regulatory notice
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Message frequency varies — see Section 5 above.
- Operated in the United States. We comply with the TCPA, CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices, and toll-free carrier verification requirements.
8. Privacy & security
- Phone numbers and names are stored only for the purpose of delivering the messages you initiate. They are never shared, sold, rented, or used for marketing.
- Cloud-stored data is encrypted at rest and protected by row-level security so only your account can read it.
- For data deletion requests, email support@sleepwelllady.app.
